Here is a handy compilation of venue and entertainment options for your Prince Edward County kid’s next fiesta! Venues

Ice Skating – You can book private rink time at the Prince Edward Community Centre (Picton) and Wellington and District Community Centre – info here. We’ve heard that attending a Wellington Dukes game can also be a great birthday activity!

County Creative Studio offers pottery painting birthday parties: $320 for a party of 8 ($35 for additional attendees). Info here.

Baxter Arts Centre in Bloomfield can be rented for kids’ parties, info here.

That Blue Barn is offering birthday parties at their farm, which can include: guided tour of the barn and time with farm animals including simple chores, materials and instructions for a craft activity, self-guided nature walk, campfire, and more! Contact melanie@thatbluebarn.com for more info.

Mount Pleasant Stables is offering Pony Parties including: 3 mini horses and 1 pony all dressed in unicorn costume – guests can pet, lead around, brush, decorate (sprinkles and sparkles provided), and ride their favourite unicorn. Escape Camp Picton offers one outdoor (seasonal) adventure (Master Spy Academy) and two indoor escape adventures (A Spy’s Workshop and The Secret Guild). Check out the “Age Restrictions” section in the FAQ for more info on their website for tips on playing with kids!

Several local venues can be rented for private events including the HOPE Centre, Picton Elks Lodge, and our Town Halls.

Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre offers a great variety of Birthday Party Packages complete with a “Party Host” to facilitate activities such as swimming, basketball, and minute-to-win-it.

Misuraca Karate – Here you’ll find birthday packages with laser tag, a climbing wall, and a bouncy castle – oh my! Details here.

PEFAC has started to host birthday parties again! There are two 1-hour packages for $140 – 1 hour in the gym and 1 hour in the lounge, or 1 hour in the pool and 1 hour in the lounge – or a $180 package with 1 hour in the gym, 1 hour in the pool, and 1 hour in the lounge. All packages include a staff member to assist. Call PEFAC at (613) 476-7776 for info and to inquire about availability.

Zone Athletics offers a whole range of Birthday Party Packages with themes of Parkour, Cheer, Nerf, Unicorn, Fitness Escape Room, and more.

The Belleville YMCA hosts birthday parties – you can use the pool, Treehouse (indoor playground), and party room!

Galaxy Cinemas, aka the Cineplex in Belleville, hosts birthday parties – details here.

Quinte Bowl offers birthday parties with 60 or 120 minutes of bowling and pizza from Bourbon Street Pizza; call for details (website not currently working, but you can visit the FB page linked above).

Activities

County Acrobatics / Pure Joy Dance are running birthday parties: 1 hour of acro or dance class, and 1 hour celebration time. Food, cake, decorations provided by parents. Cake and food can be provided at any additional cost. Email Hollie at countyacrobatics@gmail.com for more information.

Bouncy Castles / Inflatables – County Party Rentals has lots of fun bouncy options – helpful for burning off that party-induced sugar rush! They operate all year-round, but your options will depend on weather/temperatures and whether you have an indoor or outdoor setting (depending on the size of your venue, some inflatables can fit indoors).

Character Visits – K&M Characters provides “character visits” for parties and events – Spiderman, Paw Patrol, Mario and Luigi, Olaf, Pikachu… you get the picture! You can reach them through their Facebook page linked above or at kmcharacters@gmail.com.

Axe Throwing – A unique option, for kids 10+ only! Minimum 2-hour rental, info here.
