Base 31 is hosting an Outdoor Summer Camp combining art, history, sports, and nature for ages 4-15 (groups will be ages 4-9 and 10-15). Cost: the early bird rate is $225, hours are 9-4. Meal plan with lunches from Cressy Mustard is available for $45/week.
The Baxter Arts Centre offers a wide array of camps for kids aged 4.5-13 in a variety of locations – circus arts, visual art, dance, Dungeons & Dragons, and more! Most are sold out but not all!
County Acrobatics combines with Loving Truth Farm in South Marysburgh for a Horse Love & Acrobats camp for kids aged 5+. Kids will split their camp week between horsemanship at the farm (2 days) and acrobatics at a variety of locations depending on the week. Weeks are July 8th-12th, 15th-19th, and 26th-30th. Cost: $311/week + HST. Hours: 9-3. Check the Loving Truth Facebook Group for details.
The County Museums are offering a History Alive! Day Camp at Macaulay Heritage Park from July 8th-12th for for kids aged 6-11. Each day includes a combination of crafts, indoor and outdoor activities, and games that help campers connect with our community’s past. Email jchase@pecounty.on.ca for info and to register. Cost – $50/day+HST, including healthy snacks. Hours – 9-4.
The County Museums are also hosting an “Around the World in 4 Days” Camp at Ameliasburgh Heritage Village from July 2nd-5th for kids aged 6-10. Campers will engage in festivities and learning experiences and try traditional foods from Greece, Ethiopia, Canada and Great Britain. Cost – $50/day+HST. Hours: 9:30-4. EPIC Day Camp is a Christian camp that runs out of Emmanuel Baptist Church for kids in grades SK-6. July 8th-12th has an arts theme; August 12th-16th is sports-focused. Cost – $140. Hours – 9-4 (before and aftercare possible for an extra fee).
Harbour Ridge Camp is a Christian camp on West Lake. Their Day Camps are running the weeks of Jul 8-12 and Aug 19-23 for ages 6-12. This year, they have 3 overnight camps for ages 5-14, Squirt Camp Jul 9-11, Junior Camp Aug 11-17, and Senior Camp Jul 21-27. They also have a weekday morning program called Blast. Harper Run Stables is running both full-day and half-day hands-on learning day camps (one day or three day options) in 2024. Depending on the week, campers will learn how to take care of, groom, safely handle, tack up, safely mount, and dismount, ponies. Check out their May 15th Facebook post for more info. Remaining dates are: July 29th-31st, August 6th, August 12th, August 19th-21st. Cost: 3-day half-day camps are $200; 1-day full-day camps are $100. The Hub Child & Family Centre is offering a summer camp at PECI and Kente Public School for children ages 4-12. Cost – $43/day. Hours – 7:00-5:30.
The Marysburgh Mummers will offer two 2-week drama camps for kids aged 8 years and up at Milford’s Mount Tabor Community Playhouse from July 15th-26th and August 12th-23rd. Cost – $600 for the 2-week session. Hours – 8:45-4:15. Email info@mummers.ca to learn more.
The Milford Nature Camp is run by two First Aid-trained 18 year old girls at the Mount Tabor Shed (2179 County Road 17). It’s open to kids aged 4-9. Arts and crafts and lots of outdoor fun are on the agenda! Email milfordnaturecamp@gmail.com to register. Cost – $250/week. Hours – 9:30-3.
Music at Port Milford is running a half-day Choral Camp for kids aged 6-12 from July 8th-12th at Bloomfield Town Hall. Campers will engage in group singing, movement and dance, and instrumental music on Orff xylophones, and have snack time at the park (food not provided). There is a final performance at 11:30 on July 12th, and an extra celebration that afternoon at the Port Milford camp location with provided lunch, supervised swimming, etc. Contact Sam Hirst at mary.samantha.hirst@gmail.com for more info. Paper Kite Farm is hosting their first Day Camp on their new homestead in Black River – July 8th-12th for 5-8 year olds / July 15th-19th for 9-12 year olds. Daily farm-to-table meals will be prepared together using farm-fresh ingredients, hands-on farming experiences, animal interactions, nature-based arts and crafts, nature walks, and more. Cost – $725/week (early bird pricing until February 29th). Hours – 8:30-5:30.
Pleasant Bay Children’s Camp is a Christian camp located in Consecon offering 5 weeks of camp from July 8th-August 9th for kids aged 6-13. Cost – $325/week (HST included). Hours – 8:50-4.
The Prince Edward Fitness & Aquatic Centre (PEFAC) offers summer camps throughout July and August for kids aged 4-12. The kids will be swimming every day! Cost – $35/day, $150/week, $550/month. Hours – 8:30-4:30. To register, visit PEFAC in person.
The Prince Edward County Soccer Association (PECSA) is offering a one-week Challenger Soccer Day Camp from July 15th-19th at the Johnson Street soccer fields for ages 8-14 (half day) or ages 7-14 (full day). Early Bird discount cost – $172 for half days (9-12), $213 for full days (9-3).
Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory is running an overnight camp for youth ages 14-16 from July 22nd-26th as part of their Youth Ornithology Career Orientation program. Participants will camp outdoors at a location near Milford, ON and spending their days at the Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory, located within the Prince Edward Point National Wildlife Area. Camping equipment and food is provided. Cost – $100 (financial assistance available).
(SOLD OUT) The Prince Edward Yacht Club offers a Learn to Sail summer camp in Waupoos for kids aged 10-18 years. There are 7 weeks of camp from July 1st-August 16th. A minimum of 2 weeks attendance is recommended to facilitate completion of levels. Cost – $378/week. Hours – 9-4.
(SOLD OUT) Wildhearts Forest and Nature School is offering a summer camp for 3 weeks this summer, but they are all sold out! Ages: 4-10. Hours: 9-4. Held at Edwin County Farms, 2590 County Road 15. Led by a qualified educator and certified forest and nature school practitioner. Sliding scale spaces available and Camps of Hope funding accepted.

Archway Connection, a nonprofit focused on emotional healing and mental health wellness, is offering three 3-day camps for kids aged 6-12 years. The dates are July 10th-12th, July 24th-26th, and August 14th-16th. This is a fully outdoor camp focused on interacting with the horses and wild life, learning mindfulness techniques, connecting with nature and plant medicine, creating arts and nature crafts for joy and wellness. Cost – $225 per 3-day session. Hours – 10-3.
Fronterra Flower Farm in Consecon is offering a Nature Camp for children aged 5-10 from July 31st to August 25th, 2023. The camp aims to immerse young adventurers in the beauty of the natural world through outdoor activities held in the flower fields and forest. The camp focuses on fostering a deep connection to nature while promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship with activities such as seed planting, garden care, tree and flower identification, as well as nature scavenger hunts and wildcrafts. Cost – $350 per week / $1100 per month. Hours – 9-4.
County Clippers, the local youth basketball league, will be offering an Advanced Skills Camp for players going into grades 4 – 8 (July 12-14) and a For the Love of the Game Camp for players going into grades 2 – 8 (August 2-5) at PECI. Watch their Facebook page for updates.
PIC in PEC (Performance Incubator Camp), presented by The Festival Players of PEC in association with The Regent Theatre, “allows young artists to craft an original play, expand their skills as actors, designers and playwrights while cultivating connections between their creative impulses and their sense of place in the County community. Open to Prince Edward County residents aged 12-17. Cost – free. Hours – 10-5.
