4-H Club of Prince Edward County clubs have a variety of themes, including Dairy, Beef Heritage, Sewing, Cultural Diversity, Judging, and Exploring 4-H. They also run judging competitions, leadership camps, and other activities to promote public speaking.
Archway Connection, a nonprofit focused on emotional healing and mental health wellness, offers several different youth clubs.
The 1st Consecon Cub Scouts (currently paused due to the pandemic) meet on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Consecon Legion. The Beavers group welcomes boys aged 5-7 and the Cub Scouts group accepts girls and boys aged 8-10.
The 1st Wellington Scout Troupe (currently paused due to the pandemic) meets on Wednesday evenings from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Wellington United Church. The Beavers group welcomes boys and girls aged 5-7 and the Cub Scouts group accepts boys and girls aged 8-10. Girl Guides of Canada is currently running outdoor sessions at Macaulay Conservation Area for girls aged 5-17. The cost is $175 per year, with subsidy available directly while registering. For group contact information, enter your postal code on this page of the Girl Guides website.
Junior Farmers of Ontario has a Prince Edward County chapter open to kids starting at age 15. Its mission is to “develop future rural leaders through self help and community betterment”. Please call 613-393-5294 for more information.
Prince Edward Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron 851 is open to kids aged 12-18 years old and meets on Monday evenings. Please contact the organization at 851air@cadets.gc.ca for details.
Quinte Youth Unlimited is a Christian organization offering student ministry programming to teenagers in Prince Edward County.
Youth2Youth Hastings Prince Edward is a youth led group with a mission to spark innovative thinking and work in partnership with community leaders to help increase solutions to local problems identified by youth. Follow them on Facebook to learn about events and opportunities for involvement.
