A guide to playgroups, parent support groups, and kids’ library events and activities in Prince Edward County.

Playgroups

The Hub Child and Family Centre offers both indoor and outdoor free playgroups for kids and their grownups, including 2 Baby Clubs on the Thursday at locations throughout the County.

We Wander Club is running their first outdoor early learning pilot program in Spring 2023. This parent-participatory program is for children ages 2-5. It is led by some outdoor-loving parents who believe in the strong skills and resiliency that forest school and outdoor play principles provide. Email wewanderclub@gmail.com for more info.

Kahwá:tsire Indigenous-Led Child & Family Programs offers indoor, outdoor, and virtual playgroups in Quinte and surrounding areas. These playgroups incorporate Indigenous language and cultural teachings. Follow them on Facebook to keep up-to-date on the schedule.

Library events and activities

The Prince Edward County Public Library system has six locations throughout the county. Check out the Kids page for an up-to-date schedule of kids’ events and activities.
