Multiple Dates
Escape Camp Picton is offering their three immersive escape room experiences from Friday Feb 13th-Mon Feb 16th – there will be sweet treats awaiting you after your escape! Book your experience on their website.
The Regent Theatre is offering free Video Game Days on Feb 15th and 16th from 10-5 – BYO Nintendo Switch and controllers and a group of any size, and book your one hour slot to play (DM them through their Instagram page to reserve). They also have multiple screenings of “Charlie the Wonder Dog” on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – tickets are $8 for kids, $10 for adults. Tickets here. They’ll also have an air hockey table in the lobby!
On Saturday and Sunday of Family Day weekend, Parsons Brewing Co. will have their outdoor rink open as well as special food offerings including Raclette, clam chowder, and wood-fired oysters. And as always, lots of space to roam! Website here.
The Picton Recreation Committee is running a Family Day Bingo competition all weekend long – hunt for and find beautiful sights and winter sounds for your chance to win gift cards to Books & Co and The Regent Theatre! Info on their Facebook page.
Friday February 13th
The Prince Edward Horse & Pony Club is hosting a Fundraiser Dance for Youth in Grades 4-8 on Friday the 13th. Tickets are $10 and the event takes place at the Picton Arena Rotary Hall from 6-9. Check out their Facebook group for more info.
Saturday February 14th
The Picton and Wellington library branches will be hosting storytimes from 10:30-11:30.
Sunday February 15th
The Waring House is hosting a Winter Carnival from 1-3 p.m. for kids, parents, and grandparents alike! Carnival-style games and contests, horse-drawn wagon rides, hot chocolate and mulled cider, prizes for kids, free admission. Facebook event here.
Monday February 16th
There is a Family Day event at the Wellington Arena / Highline Hall from 9-3 featuring hands-on owl activities and crafts with South Shore Joint Initiative, free public skating, free books from County Kids Read, delicious free soup provided by the Wellington Rotary Club, and more!
The Picton Arena will also host Family Day festivities organized by the Municipality and community partners including hands-on owl activities and crafts with South Shore Joint Initiative, free public skating, and more from 9-3.
County Creative Gallery is hosting Family Day pottery painting ($20 per mug) at two times: 9-10:30 and 11:30-1. Reserve your spots here. They will also have goats & bunnies from Heal With Horses in the studio from 3-5 pm – entry is $25 per person plus the cost of your pottery piece. Reserve your spot here.
The National Air Force Museum (Trenton) invites families to participate in their “Be an Aviator” program from 10-3. Participants will earn their wings by completing hands-on challenges inspired by RCAF training methods of the Second World War, including: Wireless School (Morse Code), Air Navigation School (Constellations), Flight Training, and more.
