Get your glow on – Christmas trees and light displays in Prince Edward County
As the days shorten and darken, Prince Edward County starts to shine! If you are on the hunt for local (in the County and beyond) spots to buy Christmas trees and view holiday lights, read on. Where to buy Christmas trees in and around Prince Edward County
The Picton Firefighters Association’s annual Christmas Tree Sale fundraiser is ongoing at the Picton Fire Station (8 McDonald drive). All trees are $50 (CASH ONLY), and proceeds go to several local charities. If you don’t see anyone at the tree hut, you can ring the buzzer at the front door and someone will come out to serve you.
A local family is selling $40 pre-cut trees at 289 Kelly Road in Cherry Valley. With a little luck, kids might get to say hello to some of the resident animals! Edit December 9th – SOLD OUT!
Lockyer’s Country Gardens (332 County Road #1, Picton) is selling Fraser and Balsam Firs imported from Quebec.
While a bit further afield, Carole’s Christmas Tree Farm (7685 County Road 2, Greater Napanee) and Denmar Farms (217 Clearview Road, Belleville) both sell pre-cut and cut-your-own Christmas trees and offer wagon rides and other kid-friendly activities.
Where to view holiday light displays in and around Prince Edward County
The Foster Christmas Display at Jane Forrester Park (Meyers Pier) in Belleville is a long-standing community tradition. The light and sound displays are on 24/7 from November 15th to December 31st, and on Friday nights (Nov 15-Dec 20 only) there are live music performances and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus. The park is located at 30 Harbour Drive with easy access from South Front, South Pinnacle or South Church streets.
Trenton (November 24th – January 1st at Fraser Park) and Frankford (November 30th – January 1st at Frankford Tourist Park) each host Christmas Fantasy of Lights displays. For those who want to up their transportation game, ride the Trenton Holly Trolley which visits both displays on December 14th!
Downtown Napanee’s Big Bright Lights Show lights up the town’s main street from November 15th, 2019 to January 5th, 2020.
Finally, private residences at these locations often put on a dazzling display:

- County Road 12 just past the West Lake Community Church
- County Road 8 between Lucks and Bradley Crossroads
- Rednersville Road just before County Road 23
